Peter Breach, Chairman, Hawksworth Securities PLC

Peter is a Managing Director and Chartered Accountant with more than 40 years’ experience in senior management. He has led property and finance functions and overseen takeover bids, mergers and acquisitions and Treasury.

 

Peter began his career with Cooper & Lybrand in 1963 and gained his first executive role in 1972 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Major Holdings And Developments Limited, a property company listed on the Toronto stock exchange.

 

He then progressed through Managing Director roles with Portland Chemicals Ltd, Viners plc and held the position of Board Director for Bristol and West Building Society from 1974 to 1990. Peter became Chairman and Chief Executive of Hawksworth Securities in 1990, and was additionally Executive Chairman of Coffee Republic from 2006 to 2009 where he developed the brand’s overseas roll-out.

 

A graduate of the University of Bristol, Peter is a keen sailor and has crossed the Atlantic by yacht twice.
